Morning Glass was founded with a clear purpose: to provide Nantucket's most distinguished homes with the level of exterior care they deserve. Not rushed, not generic, and not handed off to whoever's available.

The company was founded and is led by Ken, a Nantucket resident for over twenty years, with a career built on fine carpentry and hands-on work with the island's homes. That background shapes every service we deliver: how cedar shingles age, how salt air affects teak, how rooflines behave through a nor'easter.

Living and working on Nantucket for two decades teaches you things no certification covers. We know which neighborhoods get hit hardest by southwest winds, how village homes differ structurally from newer estates out toward Tom Nevers, and which wood treatments actually hold up through a Nantucket winter.

That knowledge separates us from general property maintenance, and from off-island vendors who arrive in season and leave when it's over. We're here year-round, which means we see what coastal weather actually does to these properties over time.

Most exterior maintenance companies are cleaning operations. Morning Glass was built on a carpentry foundation, so we approach every surface with an understanding of its structure, not just its appearance.
We’re not a seasonal crew. We’re here in January for storm follow-up, in March for pre-season assessments, and in November when most vendors have left for the winter.
Every job includes before-and-after photos and a written summary. Caretakers have a record to share with owners; homeowners have confirmation of what was done. No ambiguity.
